Good afernoon, I am a biology teacher and I am very interested in this topic. I found your web trough a friend and I have a question: What innovative methods can be used to restore degraded ecosystems to improve water resources? I would like to learn more about the most innovative methods that I hope will begin to be implemented in different contaminated or destroyed areas. Thank you 🙂

Yesterday was a very important day. My classmates and I had the chance to do something helpful for our environment. Cleaning the port of Riposto wasn’t just a symbolic act, but a real way to raise awareness about the importance of keeping the places we visit clean. We were also joined by some Spanish students, which made the experience even more special. It was great to work together with them, sharing the same goal of taking care of the environment, despite coming from different countries. It reminded us how important it is to unite across borders for the common good of our planet. It was also a time to think about respecting nature and our role in protecting it. We hope our small effort can inspire others to take care of the environment too.

Yesterday, our class went to clean the port of Riposto together with the Erasmus students from Spain. It was an opportunity to get to know them and their traditions, as well as to help the planet.

As a teacher at St. Stanislav’s Institution in Ljubljana, Slovenia, I recently gathered feedback from my students on the topic The role of phosphates in eutrophication. After reviewing the 22 responses, I have selected some of the most thought-provoking and insightful reflections to share. These responses provide a glimpse into the students’ understanding and perspectives on this important issue.
    – I believe that natural fertilizers are better, and there’s no need to fertilize with synthetic fertilizers.
    – It seems to me that it would be good to use both natural fertilizers and, as an addition, synthetic ones.
    – It’s the first time I’ve heard of the term eutrophication. It’s good to be informed about these things.
    – It seems to me that this depends quite a lot on the location where synthetic fertilizers are used (this was part of our discussion). For example, in areas where rare animals are endangered, no synthetic fertilizers should be used, but otherwise, I don’t think it’s such a controversial issue. The problem with this is also the groundwater.
    – I think it’s important that we talk about this topic, as we have many different opinions about it.
    – Ecological fertilizer production is important.
    – It’s necessary, but it will be a slow transition.
    – I think we mostly agreed in class.
    – I believe that Slovenian agriculture should be more self-sufficient.
    – I think it’s very important what people eat, as it affects daily life.
